Nexterna Clearview - Latest Release

General Clearview
  • Client Data Rules (CDR) – expanding on our widely used and extremely flexible Custom Business Rules, the Client Data Rules allow for similar flexibility with interaction with the users. CDR's can be setup to prompt users for approval of operations, defaulting of data based on values entered as they are entered. Some examples would be prompting for Service Orders open against the product within X days, defaulting the Purchase Order on the screen after entering the Customer information, etc. Another suggestion is to default a memo template based on the selection of the memo type on a Service Order or to prompt with a substituted item when the old item is entered on a service activity. The uses are unlimited.
  • Extended Documents - this powerful new feature allows you to expand upon any of the current tables in Clearview by adding custom fields. These fields can be a variety of data types including; character, date/time, Boolean, integer and numeric. The values can be displayed using the following presentation types; Text box, Check Box, Combo box, Text Box browser (Clearview custom control) and Date Time control. Combo boxes can be based upon a fixed list or a list maintained within Clearview. Text Box browser allows for browsing a standard field in Clearview for population / validation against that table. For example, you could add an extended value called Repair 2 to the Service Task. This is presented as text box browser for the Repair table in Clearview and it allows you to populate an additional repair code on the task for further reporting requirements. Pre-processors can be applied to the extended value to determine when they are available for entry. i.e. some may be specific based on the Customer # or the status of the document, etc. The extended values are available on all User Defined tabs on the Clearview screens as well as a standard maintenance area for all remaining documents.
  • Context Menu - The ability to launch forms, open websites to specific URL's, invoke a CBR, etc. from a right click option. These can be added to any browsers making repetitive tasks simple and reducing manual steps.
  • Audits - Additional audits have been placed on the following tables. Contract Line, Service Memo, Service Order, Service Task. We have also audited the session table so you can see when people log in, when they log out, etc.
  • Contacts – Increase of the phone extension to 5 characters.
Logistics
  • Shipping Integration - Consolidation and expansion on the shipping information stored in Clearview by adding a new Shipping Document screen. This screen is accessible from all "Shipping" areas in Clearview including Purchase Orders, Transfers, RMA's, etc. The Shipping Document includes the current status of the shipment, ETA Date, and when the shipment is shipped it will include who signed for the document. A Track Shipment option is available to open to the Carrier's web site to track the shipment but this is not necessary for Fedex™ and UPS™ Shipments as this feature offers real time integration for up to date tracking information. Tracking details is also available on the Service Order Activity, Service Order Returnable, etc. Expanding on this feature custom business rules can be setup to process the shipments based on the status of the shipment as reported by the carrier. Exceptions can also be triggered upon for shipments where the ETA date is changed or when not delivered by the ETA date.
  • Purchase Exchange – Ability to indicate an item on the purchase order is being purchased on exchange. When this occurs, the exchange price is pulled in, returnable item is setup on the service order and automatically linked to the Purchase order. When the P/O is received, the Return to Vendor date will be recalculated to represent the required return time to the vendor for full credit of the exchange item.
  • Inventory Replenishment - Automatic generation of Purchase Orders or Requisitions based on the Min/Max levels set in Clearview. Custom Business Rules can be used to then trigger automatic e-mailing of the information to the vendors or other alerting / processing.
