Nexterna Announces Newest Release of Nexterna Clearview

September 26, 2002 - Nexterna, Inc., a leading provider of wireless mobile resource management solutions, has announced its newest field resource management software release, Nexterna Clearview 1.5  The company says Nexterna Clearview 1.5 will give customers real-time data which will help them increase their service operating efficiency and service utilization levels.

The Nexterna Clearview system is the first comprehensive web-based service management application that is integrated with GPS-based event management technology and a wireless communication system  It enables mobile technicians to work together in real-time with their central office.

The new GPS component provides the central service operation personnel with real-time information about what's happening in the field  They will get important details about each technician's current location, schedule, skill set, and job status  This information can be used to efficiently dispatch emergency calls, give accurate status information to customers, and better manage parts inventory.

The Nexterna Clearview service management application is web-based and handles the entire range of service operation processes, from the point of call intake, through scheduling, service order entry, parts management, service completion, and generation of an invoice  It includes in-depth components for service order management, sales order management, call avoidance, optimized dispatch with integrated mapping, contracts and preventative maintenance, product/asset tracking, and logistics and reverse logistics  The application provides an XML interface to the company's corporate A/R and other business systems.

The Nexterna Clearview system is modular, so customers can pick the features they need today, and grow into others in the future  The following optional modules can be deployed with the service management application: integrated mobile service management software, field web access, customer web access, wireless data connectivity, and real-time vehicle location using GPS technology.

The Nexterna Clearview system is specifically geared for companies that service equipment in the medical and scientific, retail/point-of-sale, computer, telecommunication, industrial equipment, and building equipment industries.
